Customer Service

Customers are people who buy something from a company.

Customers want to:
  • Find what they are looking for
  • Pay a certain price
  • Be treated in a friendly and respectful manner
  • Get what they want quickly
  • Have the product work


KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND WHEN PROVIDING CUSTOMER SERVICE:

1) Think like the customer.
     
     How would you feel if:
               you could not find something?
               you had to pay more than you thought?
               an employee was rude to you?
               you had to wait a long time?
               you bought something that did not work?

2) Look for signs that show how a customer is feeling.
      
     Determine if they feel:
               Satisfied
               Frustrated
               Confused
               Disinterested
               In a hurry

3) Apologize if you make a mistake, even if it is not your fault.

 


4) Remember “The customer is always right”.

          Keep your opinions to yourself.
Do not tell a customer they are wrong.
Do not argue with a customer.
Try to help the customer no matter what they ask.
Stay calm, even when someone is being rude.


5) Ask for help.
